Digital Double was founded in 2004 and has quickly grown into a multi-talented team of animators, motion capture technicians, programmers, and artists of all backgrounds. We are located in Redmond, Washington.

The Team
Kamal Siegel
Chief Executive Artist
Digital Double is owned and operated by Kamal Siegel.

Kamal spent several intense years at Microsoft Game Studios, creating hundreds of environment and character art assets for five Xbox titles. He followed this with two years as character artist and technical art director for Sony’s Pirates of the Burning Sea, before dedicating himself to Digital Double.

Kamal continues to teach at the International Academy of Design and Technology and DigiPen Institute of Technology. He's also active in the community, helping the City of Redmond found and shepherd the growth of the Redmond Digital Arts Festival.


Mariya Lincoln
Marketing Director
Mariya comes to Digital Double after running her own music performance and instruction business for seven years. She earned a BA in Music Performance. Her skills include technical communication, marketing, recording engineering, and pedagogy.


Abbott Smith
Art Director
Abbott was the former Associate Dean of Art and Animation at DigiPen Institute of Technology, where he helped build the BFA program and curriculum from the ground up. Prior to that, he was an instructor at the Art Institute of Seattle. He is a passionate artist, writer and educator. He has been in the field of arts and arts education for the last fifteen years inspiring the hearts and minds of artists and arts educators around the world. He now works doing art direction, private art instruction and illustration (commissions and children’s books).


Joshua Cherry
Motion Capture Technician
Joshua is a recent graduate from Bellevue College's Animation program. Joshua started his career through an internship with us in summer of '09. During that time we became familiar with his great skills and work ethic and he discovered a passion for motion capture. Now Josh has become our go to guy for all mocap needs and you'll also have the pleasure to work with him when getting your moves captured.


Suzanne Hensler
3D Artist
Suzanne recently received her second Associate's degree in the multimeda industry. She completed the Animation & Graphics degree at Bellevue College with a 3.9 GPA and also received an Associate in Applied Sciences degree in Multimedia with a 4.0 GPA from ITT Technical Institute where she was elected Valedictorian of the IT program. In addition, she completed the 3D Animation & Visual Effects program at Vancouver Film School, wherein she created a 3D animated short film which has played in many film festivals in North America and has been nominated twice for awards and endorsed by KIDS First.

She is a member and volunteer editor for Women In Animation and a member of Women In Film. She continues to challenge herself by taking classes, freelancing and self-studying.


Darcy Morgan
3D Artist
Darcy is a recent graduate from Bellevue College's Animation program. Darcy is currently helping us with our prop and character asset libraries by working with models and uv's to ensure that everything meets our quality standards and thus far has proven to be an incredible asset to our team.


Rahim Murphy
Public Relations & Sales
With experience working in the commercial sector (Microsoft) and for non-profits (Mona Foundation), Rahim brings diverse experience to the table, both in sales and PR. In addition to earning his BA in Journalism and Communications from the University of Washington, Rahim is also a graduate of the school's Professional Certificate Program in Public Relations.


Javier Duhart
Audio Engineering Consultant
Javier is the owner and founder of Faro, an independent record label founded in 1993 in Santiago, Chile. Making the most of his talents in the fields of sound engineering, record production, musical composition, graphic design and audiovisual communication, Javier Duhart brings an incredible depth of knowledge, skill and experience to the table.


Rory Plaire
Software Engineering Consultant & Toggle3D Partner
Rory has a passion for engineering software which is built soundly and agilely, works smoothly and robustly, and satisfies users and stakeholders, whatever the scale of the project.

His specialty is C++ programming but he also has an extensive repertoire of skills including Java, .NET, ASP, C# and more. Rory also co-founded Toggle3D with Kamal Siegel in 2007, a company that is working laboriously toward releasing a 3D asset management tool for 3D artists.


Nick Peterson
MEL Scripting & Tools Consultant
Nick Peterson is an experienced 3D artist with skills in modeling, texturing, particle effects and MEL scripting. For the past year, Nick has been creating phenomenal tools that help Digital Double streamline its production pipeline. Most recently, Nick helped ship Sony's Pirates of the Burning Sea as an effects artist and tools programmer.


Fouad Ghorbani
Concept Artist & Modeling Consultant
Fouad comes from a rare breed of classically trained animators with experience as animation lead for high profile 2D animation studios in Iran where he got to create a variety of TV commercials and short films. He's a graduate from Bellevue College with a degree in Computer Animation.
